Beginning of Bonheur!

I woke up at 4:30 am – abrupt and rustled! Mind racing through a thousand things at the subconscious level. I looked out of the window – the serene night was transforming to an optimistic dawn, yet again. I wondered as to what had changed in our lives, while, nature was still steering on its original cycles – unaffected and evolving!

I felt obliged to revisit the lives we had been leading over the past few months – trying to acclimatize with the settings that have come upon us. Each one of us has been braving multiple fronts relentlessly without a pause.

The playgrounds and parks have been empty and the surrounds are devoid of jingles and laughter of children. On-screen lessons have replaced the joy and stunts that arose in physical classrooms. The golden agers have lost out on their pleasure walks and outings – which otherwise were motivations for unfilled times. Intermediate tussles of teenagers between fairy tales and reality have probably reached newer heights. Amidst all of these, countless people working at home, working from home and managing the home along with managing the set of folks mentioned above, have been on a real roller coaster I would say!

While, the economically fit have encountered affected sensitivities, the masses that have lost sustenance have been crushed emotionally and financially. We are perhaps facing an abysmal morale as a society! Besides, the downer is that – this environ is here to stay! We are talking about it becoming the new normal – definitely new, but still far away from becoming normal for sure!

We are humans – heart and souls to be precise and what we have misplaced in the current scenario is the whole context of being social! The small joys that came from being outdoors without bounds have been famished. Our interactions have been largely limited to phone calls, texts and virtual meetings, which are not exactly known to communicate the best of reactions. We have moved from having distinct spaces for diverse components of our lives to a solitary place – and we are running our respective races from here!

We are doing a wonderful job I would say as we continue to battle like those warriors who vowed not to stop until the weapons drop. Yet, somewhere we are all waiting for that magic wand – to appear and transform the whole stage to a better situation for all.

As we dive into hopeful thinking, I thought that I must extend this piece of hope to as many people as I can. I want to spread the word that we are all together in this and that each one of us is here to hear, to speak and to be with the other – in thought, mind, spirit and certainty;

Our individual state of optimism and contentment can lead us to transform and enhance our backdrops; I am happy and so I want to make my surroundings thus! If you are too – make yours joyful as well.
