Freedom

It was a gloomy day – I thought of watching some inspirational videos to get over with the pensive mood that had absorbed all of me entirely. Just as I was tracing back on track I had heard the most original and fascinating concept of freedom in life! “Freedom as a pathless path” was so beautifully explained and I couldn’t help but think around it all day….i had to write around this virtue that we humans possess and yet, miscarry in actuality!

What does freedom mean to us – Free will to think, speak, behave, and do! Liberties! Independence! Power to Choose! Sovereignty! By far, we can categorize everything under these definitions.

What do we practice though!

When a child misses the mark – we push him to impetus….we convey to the child as to how he or she must conduct and perform so as to fit in. All through the rearing there are musts and must nots, very clearly pronounced for attainment of an ultimate position. Teenagers, youth and young workers – men and women, all engage in a tryst to reach their goals. More often than not, these objectives are as per the societal criteria.

Look at Relationships – be it parents, siblings, spouses, grandparents, grandchildren, friends, lovers, colleagues, acquaintances, uncles & aunts & cousins along with neighbours and strangers as well – we have sharp boundaries for all. There are very few connections that emanate and sustain from the choices that we may exercise – simply because we tie with the titled rather than the entitled!

And if you come to think of it – how many times do we cross limitations, even if we feel it is the right thing to do!

All through our aspirational journey we are motivated by one mechanism or another – and do we realize that this mechanism in itself could be a ceiling or a restriction! At every stage in life we decide as to what is going to make us free – and the moment we achieve that mark, we find ourselves another spot to accomplish. Isn’t that a bondage!

Well, evolution may not be a gridlock but then, maybe a programed route is! Do we really take the less travelled road or swim across the currents or maybe even just merge with the herd, because we feel the need to do it?

Are we really open! Are we willing to shed our anxieties and follow our hearts! Are we able to love unconditionally and trust endlessly! Are we able to dream boundlessly! Is our persistence fearless!

Being free is the best gift that humankind and the human mind holds. It could indeed create a path that is not drawn and yet, bring about a passage to our lives.

Freedom is like zephyr – wafting into all possible realms! ….And it is time that each of us implements this freedom into our perspective – an infinite dimension for emancipation of our souls!

  1. “Are we able to love unconditionally and trust endlessly”, if we are able to do, many problems will be solved. Expectations are some time right and some time wrong, but creates hurdles in experiencing the freedom. “Look at Relationships – – – – tie with the titled – – -’’ Superb.
