What’s your Gift!

As humans and more so, as contenders in various spheres, we have always been in the rigmarole of looking at our strengths. While, SWOT has been a standard, the emphasis on fortes has been a prized concept, almost at all levels in life. Be it interviews or contests….business decisions or personal judgements….the one thing that each of us tends to focus on is that, “what’s my strong point?”

The smart beings that we are, we have even invented ways to portray our weaknesses as our strengths and declared it as an innovative method to this whole madness! – And the reason is that each one of us is wishing to translate this to an advantage for self….

When was the last time, we realized another individual’s strength in evaluating a certain outcome that we may have wanted! Did we appreciate somebody’s mettle at any point in time, simply as an encouragement! Do we as families, make an effort to understand the inclines of members for our collective benefits beyond the parochial boundaries! Where do societal actions place reliable resolves and spirits for combined welfares!

We are a multifarious breed, with assets ranging from creativities and ingenuities to monies….physical strengths to varied resources….aggression, passion, versatilities, adaptabilities and emotions!

But, while we have it all, yet we are alone; when we can truly complement the other, what we actually end up doing is edit one another under the guise of competition.

Have we ever imagined as to what could be the power of an assembled force!

The pandemic has in a way sensitized us the least to look at how the other-body is steering life – by that we surely have become a tad appreciative of the abilities and potentials people carry! We have witnessed that a combined energy can create wonders for the whole world!

I’m sure Santa too has blessed us all with different gifts for us to grasp and triumph together and not solo.

With the Christmas cheer and the optimism of an upcoming bright year, we must all look beyond our gifts. So while, you do ask yourself – “what’s my gift!”….let us all begin to pursue, observe and ask – “what’s your gift!”

  1. ‘—-we have it all, —— we are alone’. All are unique and have got different strengths and weaknesses, can compliment each other, add up to strengths / compensate for weakness but ‘some thing’ keeps us apart. That ‘some thing’ can be ‘Ego’/ ‘desire’/ ‘credit issue’ etc. When we overcome this, results are good for all.

‘Post’ with deep thoughts like earlier ‘posts’. Forces to think and develop positivity. Keep it up.

  2. Forget about appreciating others, in the real world, people take-away our ideas and paste it under the guise ‘wohi toh mein bol Raha tha’..

Jokes apart, without disagreeing to your post, I believe each person has his/her soul print in this world, let’s appreciate the difference and love ahead..
